Welcome to Ming Li’s Group!
Our group explores the fascinating world of Statistical Physics and Complex Systems, with a focus on phase transitions, critical phenomena, and complex networks. Leveraging tools from statistical physics, and computer simulations, we investigate the organizational mechanisms and critical phenomena that govern a wide range of systems. Through this work, we aim to uncover the universal principles underlying natural and social complex systems, bridging theoretical insights with real-world applications.

2026-04-04 We revealed a form of temporal self-similarity in percolation process, and further established quantitative relations between the dynamic scaling exponents and the conventional static critical exponents, which enable the determination of critical behavior without prior knowledge of the critical point. For details, refer to Frontiers of Physics.

2026-03-24 By employing the Conformal Loop Ensemble (CLE), we solve the iterative bicolored percolation model proposed in our prior work [Phys.Rev.Res.] for both the O(n) loop and the Fuzzy Potts models. For details, refer to Physical Review E.

2025-11-21 We have found that the paths of depth-first search exhibit nontrivial fractal scaling across statistical physics models and all studied dimensions. Even for full lattices, the path is still fractal in two dimensions. Please see Physical Review E for details.
